Vegan, Gluten-Free Lemon Green Smoothie
Lemon Green Smoothie is wonderful and fresh for the mornings. The ingredients can improve digestion, balance blood sugar, and detoxes the body to name a few.
Ingredients:
1 red apple
Handful of spinach or kale
1/4 large cucumber
1/2 lemon (or less according to taste)
Coconut water (amount dependent on consistency that you enjoy)
Optional: add a couple of basil or mint leaves.
Method:
Rinse all the ingredients and peel them if you prefer.
Slice the cumber and core the apple.
Juice the lemon.
Add all the ingredients to the blender with the coconut water and mix till you reach the consistency that you like.
Additional Notes:
I find this sweet enough as it is but if you require it to be sweeter than add a bit of honey.
Not a fan of coconut water? Add water or almond milk.
