Daily Mindfulness: aiming for wellness, one step at a time.
What does this mean to you?
Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s happening around us.
I teach a private class to individuals on how to incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives.
I have a walking group in my area, which I have incorporated mindfulness into.
When you go for a hike, do you ever stop and take a moment to immerse yourself in feelings of gratitude. Could you list three things you’re thankful for? Next time you go for the hike, stop and complete these tasks. Then, take a few moments to focus on your breathing. Just ten minutes a day of focusing on your breath can tremendously reduce stress and promote relaxation. Why not spend a few minutes during the hike to do this?
I guarantee after a few practices this ritual will become more natural. Mindful intention will become part of your daily life.
