Autoimmune Diseases and Vitamin B12
Autoimmune Disease and Vitamin B12.
Why is Vitamin B12 important?
Have you had your Vitamin B12 levels recently checked by your doctor?
Why is Vitamin B12 important to us?
If you are low in Vitamin B12 it affects your white blood cell count and this can make the immune system more susceptible to mistakenly attacking healthy cells!
Did you know that your body doesn’t make Vitamin B12 or store it for a long time?
This means we need to get it regularly from our food or from supplements (you should always seek a doctor’s advice before taking supplements).
Foods such as breakfast cereals are often fortified with Vitamin B12. You can also find it in milk products and a variety of protein foods including meats, eggs, seafood, beans, peas, lentils, nuts and soy products.
I hope you have enjoyed this information. Until next time!
